CLUB  RULES
  • Fishing allowed only during park opening hours. Anglers should ensure they leave the water at least 30 mins. before closing time.
  • No bankside fires under any circumstances and every care must be taken to avoid damage to any bankside vegetation.
  • Radios, cassette players etc. must not be used in a manner likely to annoy others.
  • Anglers will be held responsible for the state of their swim. Litter must be placed into the bins provided.
  • Cars and other vehicles must be parked in the areas set aside for the purpose.
  • Leftover bait shall not be dumped onto the bankside, nor discarded into the water.
  • No cycling around, or in the vicinity of the fishing lakes.
  • No dogs allowed in the areas of the lakes designated for fishing.
  • No fixed lead terminal tackle.
  • No leadcore leaders permitted
  • No more than two rods to be used at any one time.
  • Anglers must not leave their rods unattended.
  • No tinned baits such as sweetcorn, luncheon meat etc. to be taken to the water in the can.
  • For the safety of wildfowl, floating bait may not be used.
  • Fish may not be retained in plastic bags, carp sacks or keepnets.
  • Barbless hooks only to be used and all shot and leads under 1oz. to be of lead substitute.
  • Maximum one pound, dryweight of groundbait.
  • Anglers must be properly equipped with a landing net etc. suitable for the species they expect to catch, and an unhooking mat must be used for carp, tench and pike.
  • No fish to be removed from the club's waters.
  • No pike fishing before Oct.1st and when doing so, no livebait in excess of 4 inches.
  • No lure fishing at Priory park lake
  • Juniors under 12 must be accompanied by an adult, and may not fish for pike without the bailiff's consent.
  • Reminder : The clubs lakes have a conventional close season from 15th. March to 15th June inclusive
